Hours Per Week : Typical hours: 830am - 3pm M-F. Mornings: Follow up on toxicology patients who are hospitalized in our catchment area (Oregon & Guam). Do inpatient consultations and discuss follow ups. Afternoons: Journal club or Attending/Fellow lecture on core toxicology topic.

Special Features of the Rotation : Our diverse catchment area provides a broad base of toxicology experience. We cover Oregon, Guam, and the Northern Marianas Islands. This allows us to experience toxicology in Frontier, Rural, and Urban settings as well as discuss cases that involve tropical (e.g. marine envenomations, stonefish, lionfish, etc), temperate (e.g mushrooms, shellfish poisoning [domoic acid, etc]), and desert (e.g. snakebites) as well as the variety of ingestions seen in these diverse locations.
