Fellowship Program Description : The University of Pittsburgh Fellowship in Medical Toxicology is a two-year, ACGME-accredited program that provides exceptional training in one of the busiest medical toxicology services in the country. The program provides a unique clinical experience in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Our fellowship is the only service nationwide capable of admitting patients to a specialized hospital unit dedicated to medical toxicology at UPMC Presbyterian. We also admit patients to UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and UPMC Mercy. Fellows are also engaged in an outpatient clinic, providing care to patients with chronic toxicities and occupational exposures. Lastly, the Pittsburgh Poison Center completes the clinical experience, providing service in Western Pennsylvania and handling over 100,000 calls each year.
