Special Features of the Rotation : Wilderness Medicine education is also embedded into the rotation: Wilderness Medicine focuses on the care of patients in remote environments lacking typical health care facility resources. This course will also introduce students/residents/fellows to the epidemiology, pathophysiology and clinical practice of Wilderness Medicine with planned regular outings to the Blue Ridge Mountains and George Washington National Forrest.
